Conquest Stables LLC’s Conquest Two Step and jockey Joe Talamo scored a 5-1 victory in Saturday’s Grade 2, $200,000 Palos Verdes Stakes at Santa Anita Park.
The Palos Verdes was the first graded stakes win for the Mark Casse trainee, now a 3-time winner in 10 starts.
The Florida-bred son of Two Step Salsa was purchased by Conquest Stables as a 2-year-old for $420,000 out of the OBS April Sale.
