Gary Fenton Joins TOC Board

Arcadia, Calif. – The board of directors of the Thoroughbred Owners of California (TOC) voted to appoint Gary Fenton to fill a vacancy on the board created by the recent resignation of Billy Morey.

Fenton, who began his career as an entertainment attorney, is currently the managing partner of Little Red Feather Racing (LRF), one of California’s leading owners with over 40 horses and 300 active partners. LRF campaigned 2004 Breeders’ Cup Mile winner Singletary and most recently graded stakes winners Egg Drop, Midnight Storm and Midnight Miley. LRF has syndicated over 150 horses and brought hundreds of new owners into the sport. In 2016, they launched the industry’s first ever Equity Crowdfunding campaign in an effort to give the avid fan/prospective owner a chance to invest in horse ownership for the first time. Fenton lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Katie, and two sons.

“We are very pleased to welcome Gary as a board member,” said TOC President and CEO, Greg Avioli. “His involvement and experience in the racing business will provide a unique perspective to the TOC board, and we look forward to working with him.”

TOC is the official organization serving new, veteran and future Thoroughbred owners in the state. It represents, advances, and protects owners’ interests and rights in legislative, administrative and business matters. old.toconline.com.
