Reno Rebel Scores First Stakes Victory in Asparagus Stakes

Reno Rebel scored his first stakes victory when he prevailed by four lengths in the $65,570 Asparagus Stakes at the San Joaquin Fair in Stockton on Saturday, Sept. 27.

Reno Rebel, a $100,000 yearling purchase, is owned by Nevada Equine LLC and Charles Finch. He was ridden to victory by Kyle Frey with a time of 1:10.28. Trained by Steve Sherman, the son of Kentucky Derby winner Big Brown has now earned $115,115 with 3 wins in 10 starts.
