Arcadia, Calif. – The Thoroughbred Owners of California (TOC) has announced the winners of its 2021 statistical awards for leading California owners. Reddam Racing was leading owner in total purse earnings; Tommy Town Thoroughbreds LLC led all owners by number of California wins as well as most California starts; and Baoma Corporation was leading owner for most California stakes wins.
Reddam Racing runners earned a total of $2,479,544 in California last year, with 36 wins from 246 starts. Their top runners included Team Merchants, winner of the Let It Ride S. at Del Mar, Los Alamitos Futurity winner Slow Down Andy, Tonito’s, Awake at Midnyte, Eddie’s New Dream, Homehome, Go On, and Hockey Dad.
Tommy Town Thoroughbreds had 52 wins from 253 California starts, for total earnings of $1,461,335. Their top runners included Stalking Shadow, winner of the California Derby at Golden Gate Fields, Keeper Ofthe Stars, Stanford Bay, Dynasty of Her Own, I Am Yours, and Uncorked.
Baoma Corporation had an impressive eight stakes wins in 2021. Their top runners included Eda, winner of the Starlet, Desi Arnaz, and Anoakia stakes, Beautiful Gift, winner of the Santa Ysabel S. and runner-up in the Santa Anita Oaks, Private Mission, winner of the Torrey Pines and Zenyatta stakes, Quahira, winner of the Kalookan Queen S., and Enbarr, winner of the Capote S. at Los Alamitos.
All winners will be recognized at TOC’s Annual Meetings at Del Mar Racetrack on Saturday, August 13 and at Golden Gate Fields on Saturday, October 22.
