The Thoroughbred Owners of California hosted their annual Open Forum at the Alameda County Fairgrounds Satellite Wagering Facility on Saturday, June 23rd. The event was well-attended with more than 25 owners coming to listen to TOC staff and directors discuss current events and answer questions about the state of the industry. TOC President Greg Avioli answered many questions surrounding negotiations with the Stronach Group and the off-track wagering network. Other topics covered included the future of sports wagering in California and recent increases in the horse population and handle in California.
